Hi friend, here are the instructions...

Welcome to The Game of Life — and How to Play It.

Be True to You

You live and star in your own movie.
Or are you an extra in someone else’s movie?

Perspective shift:
You are the center of this part of the simulation —
the main character in the video game of life.

You can be, do, and have whatever you want.
You just need to know the rules of the game.

You can just be your true and authentic self —
just be you, and that is enough.

Keep reading to find out how to start
walking through walls of limitation like a ghost
(because ghosts can go through walls, duh)
full of power and courage, rooted in faith. 👻

💡 Failure is just an opportunity to choose differently.
It happens to everyone.
No one gets everything perfect all the time.

Any pain you experience will be short-lived.
You’ll find peace in your everyday life.
Your relationships will begin to shift for the better.
You’ll gain positive momentum.

You’ll become aware of how the world works —
and start navigating it like a pro.

You’ll become vitally aware of how your mind, body, and emotions work.

Pain flows.
Joy flows.
Neither lasts forever — and that’s what makes both sacred.

On that note — nothing lasts forever.
Nothing ever has, except existence itself.

We exist.
We are aware of our existence.
Everything is changing, moving, and impermanent.

🌟 The Quickest Route to Your Highest Self

What’s the quickest route to your highest self?

It’s probably the direction you don’t want to go.

The direction your gut is whispering,
but your mind is shouting, No!

This is where faith becomes your compass —
reminding you, “It’s going to be okay.”

Gather your courage.
Step into the fear.
Be light, and tread into the darkness.

Your blocks, fears, and triggers aren’t obstacles —
they’re arrows pointing you toward peace, power, and your highest timeline.

🧭 Being Resourced

The way to move through these seemingly insurmountable barriers
is to be resourced.

Being resourced means having the right tools to deal with life.

I first heard this term in therapy a couple of years ago.
My therapist (Jessica — aka Angel in Disguise 🙏 thank you and bless you 🙏)
brought it up when we were going deep on some past trauma.
She wanted to make sure I had the tools to deal with it now.
Thankfully, I did.

🧰 To name a few tools:

  1. Your breath — to regulate your nervous system.
  2. Connection to your body — so you’re not stuck in your mind full of fear.
  3. Support system and community.
  4. Perspective and knowledge — understanding that feelings won’t kill you, that it’s healthy to process emotions, and that they never last forever.

Just like a carpenter needs different tools for different projects,
you need different tools for the different experiences of life.

A mind full of racing or ruminating thoughts is full — it needs to be emptied.

How?

Exercise can drain the brain for a while,
but it’s often temporary relief.

A better tool is writing. ✍️

Journaling for even 15 minutes straight
can unbind the mind and clear the conscious.

You might think talking to a friend helps,
but sometimes that’s the wrong tool —
it can actually feed the racing thoughts and make things worse.

🧩 The Right Tools for the Right Problems

Another common issue is worry
fear of some future event, whether real or imagined.

In that case, reaching out to a trusted friend is the right tool.
Hearing another perspective can break the mental loop.

Another powerful tool for worry or fear is service.

Do something kind for someone else.
You can’t focus on your fear while helping another person.

The benefits of spreading loving-kindness are endless —
it shifts your focus from “I need” to “I give,”
which is deeply therapeutic.

🚀 Leveling Up in the Game of Life

This is what being resourced means:
being able to handle whatever life throws at you.

It’s how you get good at the Game of Life.

Just like in a video game,
to get through each level you have to figure it out —
when to jump, when to duck, which door to open, which weapon to use.

The more you engage — the more you live — the better you get.
Life becomes easier to navigate.

And here’s the thing:

If you want to stay in the same place, you can.
Nobody’s forcing you to move forward.
You can replay the same level for as long as you want.

But if you want to keep growing —
to expand your experience with more love, joy, and peace —
then keep advancing.

Keep showing up.
Keep learning.

When you open your heart and open your mind,
you open yourself to unlimited opportunities.

That’s how you rise to higher levels of this experience —
(aka higher levels of consciousness).

💫 The Cheat Codes to Life

What’s the easiest way to beat a video game?
Cheat codes.

And what could really help you navigate life like a pro?
Cheat codes for the soul.

🌀 Super Power: Meditation

Slows everything down.
You see clearly.
You act consciously.

💖 Super Power: Love

Overcomes any negativity, fear, or hate.

🌿 Super Power: Forgiveness (a.k.a. Acceptance)

Nothing from the past can hurt you anymore.

🌞 Super Power: Gratitude

There’s always something in your life to lift you up — just notice it.

🙏 Super Power: Prayer

When there’s no hope, no way out, when you feel trapped —
call upon ALL POWER, and an escape hatch appears.

Are these all the cheat codes? Are these all the resources?
No — but they’re critical to moving through the levels.

Just like jumping, ducking, character selection,
and choosing the right weapon are foundational in a video game,
these tools are foundational in life.

Look at it the other way — without using them:

  • No Meditation → scattered mind
  • No Love → overcome by negativity, fear, hate, and other people’s emotions
  • No Forgiveness → ruled by anger and irritation
  • No Gratitude → easily pulled under by the quicksand of life’s challenges

🪞 A Quick Self-Inventory

  • Where do you need to expand?
  • What are you shying away from because it’s difficult or uncomfortable?
  • What steps are you afraid of taking — and how can you take a smaller one first to build momentum?
  • Do you have these foundational tools in your toolbox?
Which could use more attention right now?

Much love,
Casey

On these types of days, I must take time out for gratitude. I am thankful for my license. I can drive to the coffee shop and get a coffee. I get to listen to the kids working and laughing about some dumb kid things, lol. I have clean water and clothes. I am not locked up or being tortured. I can read, write, see, walk, talk, touch, feel, taste, and experience life today. I know the sun is shining so bright behind the clouds. Thank you, sun ☀️ Now, onward…. I like cake. I like to have my cake...

Consistency Crew You’re probably wondering, “Why am I getting these newsletters every day?” 😂 How do we reach big goals? One of the key ingredients is being consistent about taking inspired action. I’m consistent with some things — and totally inconsistent with others. That’s kind of how most humans operate, right? To get somewhere new, we have to break out of our current patterns. Right now, I’m in the pattern of being good — good with myself, good with life. By “good,” I mean balanced,...

I’ve been an IT Engineer my entire adult life. Servers, programming, cybersecurity—you name it. I spent years in the trenches analyzing, troubleshooting, and architecting my way through life. When my world fell apart in 2020, I had the chance to rethink everything. When life as you know it completely disintegrates, it can also be an invitation to start over. Of course, at the time, I wasn’t exactly celebrating like, “Oh wow, everything’s destroyed—yay, I get to rebuild, woo hoo!” But you get...
