Oh man, I am in my mind way too much sometimes. And when that happens, it spins. "What should I be doing?" "Why did I do that?" "Am I doing the right thing?" Sound familiar? I used to just get swept away by it. Practically drowning in thoughts. Then I started doing this, and it changed my whole perspective. ZOOM OUT. Here's how I do it. Tip 1 - Look at the thought, not from inside it Instead of going into the thought... I look at it. It's just a thought. It doesn't have to mean anything. I don't have to take it seriously. I don't have to feel bad about it. And I'm not "on the hook" for it. That right there creates space. Tip 2 - Redirect your attention Once I see the thought, I gently move my attention somewhere else. My breath. A sensation in my body. Something in my surroundings. Or something I'm grateful for. Pick one. That's all. Tip 3 - Choose your next thought This is such a blessing in my life... The choice to choose my next thought. I didn't have that before. Now I do. And so do you :) The more I meditate, the more outside the mind I am. Not fighting it. Not getting rid of it. Just not trapped in it anymore. Because the mind is one of the most powerful tools on the planet. But it's a tool. You get to be the one using it. So my question for you is... Which one shows up most for you? "What should I be doing?" "Why did I do that?" Or something else? What do you do to transcend the thought? Hit reply and tell me. I'd love to hear it. Here is one of my latest videos, its about using thought to create your world. If you're not subscribed, show the channel some love because it literally runs on love :) Casey |

Hey Reader :) You know that feeling when you get back from something that lit you up? A retreat, a big weekend, a high of some kind... and for a minute you feel untouchable. And then a day passes. Maybe two. And the old thoughts start creeping back in like they never left. "You're not doing enough." "You're not enough." "What did they think of me?" "Who am I supposed to be today?" AKA the loop. The one that's been running quietly in the background this whole time, just waiting for the high to...
Hi Reader! What does it look like to “level up” in life? I’m assuming you want to level up, right? Next level at work. Next level of peace. Next level of love. Next level of abundance. Next level of fitness. Do you know how you actually level up? “Start doing things you don’t normally do towards the desire you want to achieve.” Now when I say don’t normally do, that might mean doing completely different things, but it can also mean doing the same things in a different way. Like at the gym....
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” One of my favorite quotes in the ancient texts. I believe we are born with new minds — and then the world starts to tell us how to be, how to act, what to think. We had emotions but didn’t know how to express them. We learned things that didn’t seem right, but that was just the way it was. Eventually, hopefully, the pattern of this world becomes too much and we have a break. The misery outweighs...
